To make this battle royale even more interesting, they offer you the so-called Tournaments in which any player can partake. We’ll tell you in detail what it is and how to join this activity if you are a beginner.

What Are the Tournaments?

The Fortnite creators arrange in-game competitions with different conditions for all users. Some of them can be completed alone; for others, you will need a partner and even a whole squad. Some events can take place in several stages, weeding out weak players at the very beginning. By the way, as you climb higher in the standings, it will become more and more difficult for you to win, as the system selects opponents with approximately the same level as yours.

You can earn extra points for participating in tournaments, hitting opponents in the head, and so on. Also, certain events can bring you real money. All Tournaments are held according to the exact schedule and are limited in time. You will have to miss an event if you have not signed up for it. What Tournaments Are There?

Conventionally, each of all such events can be divided into three groups:

• for singles;

• for couples;

• for squads/trios.

For the last two, you will need to agree in advance with other players. When registering for competitions, please note which devices are included. Mostly, they are cross-platform; however, sometimes, there are exceptions, and, for example, players with PCs cannot take part in them. It is also not superfluous to familiarize yourself with the official rules of the event, which spell out the conditions for victory, for example, participation in a certain number of matches. Almost every day, there are some events, so you can definitely compete for the title of the best.

How to Partake in the Event?

Participation in any Tournament will require some preparation from you. First, you need to make sure you have two-factor authentication enabled on your profile. Go to your account settings, find the appropriate option, and choose an additional way to verify your identity: email, SMS, or a third-party application. It will add an extra step when logging into your account, but it will protect your data from being hacked.

The next rule for participation in competitions is the appropriate level. Players who have reached level 50 can take part in such events. It is not unattainable, but it is pretty high. This condition was set to exclude the possibility of spam profiles and scammers participating in such large-scale events (especially with cash prizes). Also, since all participants are experienced and skilled players, the walkthrough becomes much more enjoyable. You can check your level in the “Career” in the lobby.

If the previous two conditions are met, proceed to the registration for the competition. In the “Events” tab, you will find the schedule of all meetings scheduled for the next month. Check out the technical requirements and official rules, and if everything suits you, sign up as a participant. Enter the game by the appointed time to take part in the Tournament.
