The announcement regarding this new ambulance service came from Blinkit's CEO, who shared updates via social media. The company is dedicated to addressing the pressing need for efficient and dependable ambulance services within Indian urban areas. While currently limited to Gurugram, plans are in place to broaden this service across additional cities, enabling users to book a BLS ambulance conveniently through the Blinkit app in the near future. The CEO has indicated that this service is in the scaling-up phase and anticipates its reach will extend to major cities within the next couple of years.

Despite the need for such services, the company clarifies that its primary aim is not financial gain. The ambulance service is intended to be affordable for users, as the company strives to address this critical issue sustainably over time.

Earlier in 2024, it launched an impressive 10-minute delivery system for products like smartphones, gaming consoles, and precious metals. Additionally, the company has expanded its reach into new areas, enhancing accessibility for customers in locations such as Hisar, Jammu, Lonavala, and Raipur.
